Preparing food to share with others during family vacation is a common practice in our society. If you require some chilled items you may ask the host to buy it for you and pay them later. This is easier than trying to struggle your way into a crowded grocery store around the holidays or finding them closed.

The problem with this is that you perhaps have to prepare foods in a kitchen that you are not familiar with. The oven may possibly bake at a different time than yours.
